So, once again I have neglected my blog, I guess life got in the way. It isn't like I have been out travelling the world or solving world peace, I have started a new job and I am tired, all of the time. I want to type a long essay on what I've been up too, what I've been feeling, but my mind...
"Remember Remember the 5th of November, Gunpowder, Treason and Plot. I see no reason why gunpowder treason should ever be forgot" On the 7th of November 2015, I attended the annual fireworks display at Alexandra Palace, London. We started early and arrived around 4pm, there were multiple fun fairs, food/drink stalls and events already on going. At 4.45pm the parade started and it...
Although this year has been hard it has taught me a lot about life;
Firstly that everyone has their own problems, it may not be the same as yours and to you it might not be as drastic, but we all have them, and for me it's learning to empathise with that and understand that just a little thing like 'Do you want to meet up and talk?' or 'Hello, how are you?' could mean the world to someone.
Secondly, that happiness is infectious, but so are other emotions, however, in my eyes this doesn't mean you should start to ignore or avoid people, if you are truly a good friend, you will stand by them no matter what and try and infect them with your own happiness.
Thirdly, and I say this right now as a hypocrite I know, but moaning about your problems gets you nowhere, actually, if anything it causes you to spiral down into a depression where the bad points in your life keep coming back to haunt you. The fact is not everybody needs to know your business, and I like it that way, so stop gossiping about others and focus on YOURSELF.
And last but not least, you can't change other people, they are who they are. If you feel left out, hurt, or mistreated by somebody else chances are you care a lot more about them then they do about you! If you feel people don't deserve to be in your life, then they don't and its time to wipe the slate clean and get rid of negative people.
Think about yourself, yes, but also have empathy for others and try to understand WHY they do it, and if that doesn't work, you'll know what to do.
Trust yourself, if you can't do that, who can you trust?
Stop living in the past.
And always be the best Gatsby you can be:
"So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past."
F. Scott Fitzgerald

It was an experimental cooking day for me the other day, to a certain extent, I mean I have made soup before, but I decided to follow my own recipe instead of others, which basically consists of throwing things in a pan and hoping for the best! I made Butternut Squash and Carrot soup, it had a bit of a kick to it,...
On Saturday, I turn 23 and the one thing I have always wanted is a DSLR camera, it's been a goal for a few years now. I have always been keen on taking amazing pictures, capturing a moment, a feeling, that time when you just see something and have to share it with the world. And yesterday, my dream came true, I am...
Coniston Water. Cumbria. This has to be one of my favorite places, just look at the pictures and you will experience the great beauty and tranquility of this breathtaking location. But, unfortunately, a picture can only show you a third of what I'm talking about, you have to go there to truly experience everything it has to offer, such as the freshness of...
The Promenade Walney Island is just off the coast of Barrow-In-Furness, Cumbria. It is a tiny Island and separated just over the channel from Barrow, it reigns as the largest English Island in the Irish sea! But, what I love the most about Walney Island is the sunrises and sunsets, it is always a break-taking sight, as you watch the tide come in or...
